Why do you want to remove it?

There are good and bads depending on your reasoning.

For daily driving I would probably say bad. It will give you more front end flex, but I would imagine it would handle funny. I'm not sure, I've never done it. You could give it a try and see

Off road articulation would be the only benefit. There are no on-road/highway benefits to removing a sway bar.

Hellwig Rear Sway Bar

Had a Hellwig Rear Sway Bar on my 2011 Chevy Silverado and there was a noticeable improvement to the handling, it did not lean as much in the corners. One could just crank the wheel to make a 90 degree turn in city driving and there was hardly any lean. I liked it and may add one to the 2012 F150 but will drive it first to see how it handles compared to the Chevy. Cannot say anything bad about the way the Chevy handled either before or after adding the rear sway bar.

I think hardlymoving's trying to extol the virtues of having them. I thought my f150 handled like a pig with the stock sway bars. I couldn't imagine how bad it would handle on the street without them altogether.
