Something is going wrong with my front suspension - help

I have a 2008 F150 4x4 and over the past couple of weeks the front end has been acting rough. The best way I can explain it is it feels like when you air up bicycle tires to their max and ride the bike you can feel every little thing on the road. The truck has 73000 miles and up until a couple of weeks ago it road like it was still new, nice and smooth. I have never had an issue like this before, can anyone give me some ideas on what it might be and where to begin to look? I don't think is a tire issue because if I am on a good road I dont feel much at high speed, just my thoughts.
Thanks.

It is probably the shocks. 73000 miles on stock shocks is a really long time.
