Zone Off Road Suspension Lift

Hey guys! I'm contiplating lifting my truck and putting bigger wheels and tires on my 2010 FX2. Has anybody had any experience with zone off road suspension lifts? It is the best priced one I've seen... Quality is very important with the suspension so I'll probably end up going with the pro comp 6'' stage I but if that Zone lift is a good one... it might be worth the 4 or 500 bucks. Just seeing if anybody knows anything about them. Thanks guys!

i haven't heard of anyone running them.

how much is the lift your looking at? hardrock just got his 6" skyjacker for $1100 off ebay IIRC.

i think its 1400. and the procomp is between 17 and 1800. I've never heard of hardrock. How is that one? I'm worried because I have a limited budget and the wheels and tires I'm getting are pretty expensive so I'm trying to save money on the suspension. I never intend to off road... I'm just trying to give it that mean look

hardrock is another member here. IIRC he got his of ebay, he does have an 04-08 though but patience and you can find better deals. no way a 2wd pro comp should be 17 and 1800 bucks.

bds msrp is 1841, i'd call some shops and see what they want for it. i would choose BDS (or any other major brand)over a brand that just started and no one has tested for a couple hundred more.

edit: check ebay and give top gun customz a call. they don't have any 6" lifts besides pro comps for your truck listed but i'm sure they'd be able to. they have the 4wd lifts for ~$1500 on ebay so they should be able to get you around that for your 2wd i bet. they are a big vendor over on powerstroke.org and seem really good to deal with from all of the reviews i read.

BDS and Zone are one and the same company. Different brands, yes, but the same company in Coldwater, MI.

^^ from what i've found so far about the two.

and directly from a zone employee on some heep forum
Zone Offroad Products is a new division of Sport Truck USA. Sport Truck USA owns and operate BDS Suspension, 4x4 Posi-lok, & Truckmaster Distributing to name a few. We started Zone Offroad Products to offer quality offroad lifts and accessories at competive pricing. We have had good feedback from our customers on the ease of install, the quality of the components, and the quality of the ride.
found someone saying dynamictx.com offers the BDS for around $1350 if you call

bds = life time warranty zone= no warranty

if you look at pictures of both lift kits they are not the same. subframes completely different.

Zone warranty: http://zoneoffroad.com/policies.php

BDS has done a good job of marketing their product with what I consider to be a gimmick. Their warranty will cover users and uses that other manufacturers won't, but most of us don't fall into those catagories anyway. Props to them for clever marketing, but the value of the warranty to the average user is not that much different from many other brands, including Zone.

i just qouted what i read, but as for BDS warranty i had to call about a few things when mine was first installed and then again when i did my AAL. customer service was top notch, very polite and very knowledgable. didn't have to have any thing replaced but they did offer to send me out a whole new AAL if i wanted just because i brought it to their attention that the rear leaf springs had changed from the 04-05's and 06-08's.

if you research jeeps and BDS, those that do run it and have had issues seem to have good responses about their warranty.

I have installed a Zone on a GM 2500. It went together well. It's not a bad lift, but it's the same as a Rough Country. The 6" uses the same bracketry as the 4", but with a 6" coil spacer. I would rather spend more $ on a true 6" lift.
