Lifted my Son's 97 4x2

Installed a 6 in spindle/spring lift

He is saving up to get some new rims tires now. Current tires are 265/75/16 which is about 31.5in. He wants to get some new rims and true 35s, but it will be costly so it will take a while for him to save up the money. I think the truck would look great with 33s (285/75/16) on his stock rims.

What do you all think

Before

After

Looks Grrrreat!!!
Your son should be happy that your allowing/helping him do this.
My dad helps me out with doings mods. But i pay for them. and i have to convince him. his hard headed
But again great job. keep up the good work. 33's will look okay. but they are almost too small for my truck when i have 6.5" up front and 5" in the back.

The good thing is you have the option to go a small as a 16" wheel which will save money on new wheels as well as the tires for them. Truck looks great.

I am "The Cool Dad" lol. I am looking forward to getting 35s for my own truck, but the lift for my truck will cost much more. We got a fantastic deal on this and could not pass it up. Craigslist from a guy who bought the truck with the lift on it. His wife helped him decide to go back to stock so he was selling it. He had already sold his Procomp Rock Crawlers with 35s but I scored the lift for $275 complete and I gave him my OEM parts to save him from raiding the junk yards.

heres pics of mine with a 5" spindle/ spring lift

the tires are 305/70/16 which is just shy of 33" on a 16" wheel and i think they look great, 35s will require alot of trimming on the valence, i had to trim just a tad

your truck looks like ****!

taylors truck looks perfect with that tire size. i wouldn't do 35's without stock wheels and trimming.

you working this weekend?

yeah looks great, crazy the difference before and after with just adding height, and a great deal on the lift too. Yeah I would just go with some 295/75 bfg ats on that thing. Keep the stockers or get some 4x4 rims to save money with better looks.
