Problem ?
Hey everyone!
I have just installed a 2" AS leveling kit on top my 6" Pro comp stage 1 suspension lift on my 2008 F150. (have been told by some members that have done this have had very good luck with there's) I have also have 8" total in my blocks in the rear. Basically giving me 8" all around. My questions and problems that I am having are. My drive shaft looks like its really being pulled out along ways from the transmission. Also I am getting kind of a grinding / squealling / clicking noise from the front passenger tire area. I can not totally pin point it. Here's the "KICKER" It will only make that noise in 2wd not in 4x4. I will also not always there, but very very often (drive like 10ft without hearing it, then it will be there for like 100ft and go away again).If anyone can help me with this issue it would be much appreciated! Also some of you guys that are running 6-8 in the rear, what are you doing for your drive shafts? (spacer? , new? etc?)

well for the drive shaft problem you could get a spacer for it depending how far it is out

There was a thread a while back discussing this. The member used a procomp spacer and it did the job. Also you have to use the correct shim to flatten the axle back down.

yeah some pics would be nice just make sure a spacer will help the problem

Here are some pics I hope they work! Also just to let you guys know I have figured out the grinding sound in the front passenger side. One of my vacuum hoses came off on the drivers side for the 4x4 auto locking hub. (Sound completely went away) Also I have measured the big ring on the drive shaft to the trans. (The slim area where the shinny part is in the pics.) I am getting a measurement of 3 1/2". I have also measured a truck in town with a 8" Rize lift, he is running a 6" block under the factory block and is right around the 3 1/2" as well. I have talked to a local shop in town that installs these Rize lifts and say they never put a spacer in any of there trucks, and they say they are fine? Just dosn't look right to me. I have also attached a pic of my CV angle.

i dont know if a spacer is goin to fix the problem, your drive shaft looks pulled out far, and ur cv's r at a really bad angle

fx4 for life 79 if you are running the Bilsteins (guessing they are the 5100) with your 6" suspension lift for 8" total, you should have the same angle on your CV axles should you not? They still push down your lower control arms to achieve your 2" extra lift! What lift setup are you running in the back of your truck? (add a leaf?, more blocks? total height in rear?) Could you post pics of your CV angles plz?

not to hijack but did you use the bilstein 4-6 inch lift shocks or the 5100 adjustable ones up to 2inches with your procomp lift? Do you still have the procomp spacer or no lol

Heres mine and im running 6inch skyjacker and a 2inch leveling kit. You can see how far mine is pulled out and is no where near what yours is. My rear setup is 6inch leaf packs in the rear and a 2inch block
