2WD rear lowering questions

Hi all! I have a 2004 (04-08) 2WD SCab XLT that sits high in the rear. I don't haul heavy loads nor trailers. What is the best way to level ( i.e. lower the rear) ? I've read shackles are best and I've also read removing the rear lift block (?) will do the same thing. If I remove the lift blocks, am I hurting the suspension? Thank you for any advice.

I removed the blocks on my 06 and also added shackles & 4x2 shocks. It's much better driving now. I have a total rear drop 5" all I need to do is drop the front 3".

You don't have lift blocks in a 4x2. Do a 2" shackle kit, Ground Force is a good one.

2004 you shouldnt have any lift blocks. Ford used some 1" lift blocks on select 2wd trucks but that wasnt until 06 i believe.

your best bet would be doing a 2" shackle as mentioned in here. Or if you want to be completely level you could look at doing a 3" leaf spring replacement

Here's a 2003 Supercrew with a 2" shackle and harley 20s

And this is a picture of my shackles (bottom left corner of picture)

As for brands, I'd personally recommend ground force, or eibach

I have a 08' Reg Cab. 2 weeks ago I installed the Ground Force rear drop shackle. It was real easy to do took me about an hour. The front and rear are now level. Cost me $98 and I think its alot easier then installing a level kit.
