2003 7700 2wd has leveling kit..... what now?

Alright guys. Ive got the 2003 F150 7700 series, 2 wheel drive... I have already installed the 1.5 leveling kit. Now Ive got the fever and want more lift. I am looking at getting 3 more inches. My budget will be around 600 dollars give or take a few hundred. Here are a couple of options....

1. Body kit and do it myself

2. body kit and pay for someone to do it

3. lift spindles and do it myself

4. lift spindles and pay somebody

5. idk?

I need to know what will be around 600 or less..... Ive read and read and read on this board, and everybody has different opinions on everything.

option 1 or 3

spindles are cake to install
and body lifts arent really hard....just time consuming.

you could always do both! lol

I agree. However, I'm not sure if lift spindles are an option with your 7700 lb package. Neither will be hard to install. Installing both with some 35's would be sweet!

Wandell would the spindle lift not fit? I honestly dont even know what a "spindle" is... I know what control arms and ball joints and shocks are but a spindle?

Scratch the fact that I said anything about Mud dawgs.... they average 20k miles

The spindle is the metal piece that the control arms bolt to. I just don't know if the standard lift spindles will fit the F-250 Light Duty/7700 lb trucks.

1.5 just isn't enough to level :angry: Thats why i went 2.5 up front and an inch in the rear. With only a 2.5 up front i was nose high, so i had to get shakels for the rear. Thats a sweet looking truck you go there. Just needs some XLT mirrors. For tires i reccomend Firestone Destination A/T, DO NOT GET Dayton A/T's basically the sam tires but mine are wearing bad were as my Firestone A/T's didn't. Thank the Lord there getting replaced for free.

Id say #3. a spindle is the part the wheel and brake rotor/caliper is attached to. its between UCA and LCA.

I think for now I just want to fit some 33's under it. Hopefully 33's will be big enough so it wont look funny for the spindle lift.

I just wish I knew if that spindle lift would fit my 7700.

call up doetsch and make sure they will fit and the spindles are the thing between the upper and lower control arms.

id say get spindle and a BL and that will probably be about 600 bucks installed yourself. if you dont wanna get new tires now id say do 3" BL with the 33"s

You could also call the ford dealership near you and get them to find out if you front susp. specs are the same as a regular f150.

And remember, if you do lift spindles, you need somthing to level out the rear with it. Unless youre ordering a spindle kit that comes with everything...Idk, its your truck. But I know if I could, I would keep everything susp. as long as its possible.

And btw, you couldve kept saving and got just went ahead and got the 7.5" fabtech kit like most of us have! You could get it from 4wheelparts for about $1000.

then later on add the spindle lift and 35's

Im going to call and see it the spindle lift will fit my truck sometime soon. If I get that body lift, i could add the 7.5 lift later on and not have to waste what I bought for a spindle lift, right? Or could I put on the spindle lift and just add the 7.5 lift to it?

If you're thinking about doing a full on suspension lift eventually, then I would go with the body lift first. Truck is looking good, off to a good start.
