I used a big c-clamp with the anvil broken off the end of it. The remaining ball fit nicely into the indent of the torsion key and I was able to relieve the tension. The hardest part was getting the rusted-on torsion key off. Took alot of the BFH to make em pop off. I never could get the torsion bars out of either lower control arm, so I just left them connected. A bit more to muscle around but easier than trying to hammer them all apart. Painted it all with truck bed coating and re-installed.
