not sure how my truck is leveled
First of all, awesome site!
03 Screw 4x4. I bought it with some kind of leveling kit and 285/75r16 tires. I don't see a spacer above the shocks, and I don't see any torsion keys. Are there other ways it can be done?
Reason I ask is I am trying to decide between an RCD 5" or Fabtech 6" susp lift. I don't know if I'll be able to keep whatever it is that I have now.
Yeah probably torsions turned up, welcome to the site your truck is pretty sweet

thanx for the replies guys.
So if it's just adjusted torsions, is that something that stays when the lift is installed? Reason I ask, and I know you all said go Fabtech, is that w/ the RCD it states it only goes 4" in front w/ newer supercrew.
Can I go RCD 5", w/ a supercrew, and be level w/ the 4" blocks in the rear?
(I'm trying to justify the money for fabtech in my mind...really i am...)
The ride height on our trucks is adjustable by the amount of preload on the torsion bars. This goes for stock trucks and ones with lift kits. THe Fabtech and RCD are probably the two best lifts for our trucks.

Hey Wandell,
So if I do the RCD 5" on my supercrew, and it only gets 4" of lift in the front, can I then just adjust the torsion bars for that other inch? It seems like that would probably be less tension than they have on them now.
I guess my question is what do screw owners do when they install this kit?
i used the torsion bars for some lift, but be careful with cranking those torsion bars too much, especially with the leveling kit keys. I had the leveling kit on mine and had them cranked up 2 more inches to give my truck about 11 or 12 inches of lift and that put the cv axles at a terrible angle. i was breaking cv's like it was my job! it was also a terrible ride.

I agree. You can crank up the preload on the torsion bars, just keep your eyes on your CV and ball joint angles and make sure they are not crazy.
