Rancho subframe braces bent

Hit an obstacle and they bent at the same angle. What's gonna happen if they're bent instead of straight. (It's the 4" rancho braces)

I would replace the lift, if that were me. you must've hit something pretty hard to bend the subframe.

Just the two braces though, the lowest part of the truck, they're still on but bent.

are you talking about the impact struts, or the subframe crossmembers?

The truck kinda dropped right on top of those, so that is why they're bent. And it's the only damage to the underbody. They look replaceable because they're just bolted on, so could I by them aftermarket?

sure, you can buy just the compression struts. make sure you buy them from a shop that buys direct from Rancho, not a warehouse. The warehouse makes their money by keeping things in stock. None of them will stock just the struts, so they'll have to special order them, and you'll pay extra.

But I doubt that just a replacement set of compression struts will fit. You most likely bent something else too. It's basic geometry. Take a triangle, and make one leg shorter (which is what you did when you bent the struts), you made another leg longer. I would bet that something else is bent, and before you throw money at a set of replacement struts, have the whole front end checked out for alignment.

Correct my alignment is off, so what's my next step. Do I NEED new struts? Should I just get an alignment? I'm kinda screwed either way...

It's hard to tell without seeing the truck. I'd really consider taking it to a frame shop to have an expert give you an opinion.

Those look pretty well bent. Most reputable shops won't do an alignment without those being replaced first.

The aft braces are light duty compared to the boxed subframe. Hopefully, you may have just stretched the braces.

those are your impact/compression struts. they spread impact forces more throughout the frame, rather than just at the two lift crossmembers. you need to replace those. it doesn't look like you damaged the lift subframe crossmembers any.

a blow like that most probably threw your alignment off.
