4x2 leaf spring vs 4x4

Hello guys,
I have an 05 4x2 supercrew with a 3" sky jacker lift which uses an add a leaf in the back on with 33"s. I hit a giant curb going about 50 mph and and knocked my tire way outa whack. The shop I took it to said I needed a new leaf spring in the back along with all the U-bolts and a U-bolt shackle. My question to you guys is would a 4x4 leaf spring work on the back considering I I already have an add a leaf in the back on the other side?
