Help, Spring Code Question?

Hey All,

I have an 04 Screw XLT 4x2 with the 5.4 and
I can't beleive one of my coil springs broke! Dealer wants 68 bucks each!

My question is, The springs on my beast are a code S, I found a couple sets on e-bay for less but they are a code R. I know they will fit physically but what's the difference between the two? Are the R's softer or stiffer and is there a difference in ride height?

Here is the link to the set I found on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F150-...4506.m20.l1116

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm hoping that one of the suspension guru's will be able to tell me what codes will interchange acceptably.

Jeff
