Anyone else's CV's, Pinion Angle and Balljoint's Look Like This From 8+" lift?????
Most of ya'll know what lift I have, but for those who don't it's a 6" procomp, 2.5" Leveling spacer and 2" AAL.
I finaly got around to takinf pic's this weekend of my front CV angles, Upper Ball Joints and Rear Pinion Angle. My pinion anlge is an easy fix. I'll be ordering shims today. But my front Ball Joints are what I don't care for. The Stress on the ball joints and needing bigger gears is leading me to taking the spacers off and putting 35" Toyo MT's on. So the question is how does everyone else's look compared to mine?
Its close thats for sure. My buddies 3 inch level on his 05 did the same to his ball joints. Its holding up good though. In the end its up to you but I would probably just go with the 6" and 35s that would look really good. IMO

Except for the picture of the univeral joints there... My 3in leveling kit looks exactly like that so let me fill you in for what your in for!
1) Not only do the ball joints look terrible and trouble me! ( though i havnt had any problems yet, only had it on for about 8k now 50k overall on the truck)
2) Basicly as soon as I got the 3in level put on about a month and a half later I broke that lower boot (passenger side) and then after i fixed that a month later the other one went on the lower boot (driver side) and fyi boot kit is 25 for lower and since you have it down might as well put the upper boot on also so your looking at 50 bucks there, or you can buy a whole new after market cv for about 75 bucks or go FORD OEM and pay 3hundred and something redic!
Basicly IMO get rid of the spacer period! If you feel that you want the size still just do a 3in body lift and keep your tires and then post your old 2 1/2 in level kit on here and recoop some of your money from the body lift of coarce imo lol
I pretty much have my mind set on taking the spacers off. I'll probably run the 6" with 35's, either get 20's with 35's or get the new Toyo MT 35" for a 22. This way my warranty will still cover any ball joint, cv or boot issues up front. Eventually I may go with a Rize 8" and back on 37's, but as of right now I don't have the extra 4k to do it.
Is that stacked bocks with an aluminum block in the rear?
The CVs don't look horrible compared to mine and other but the BJs are what look awful. If that spindle was only a couple of inches longer...

The rear is stacked blocks. That's how Procomp's lift comes. I also have an AAL. I'm taking the stacked blocks out though. I have some 5" ones with the bump stops. I also ordered shim yesterday so once they come in I'm going to take the stacked ones out.

You think your warranty will cover ball joints and cv shafts with a 6" lift?
