6inch lift

You need to be a little more specific on what you're talking about. What brand of lifts have you priced out? Is that including install? What year and drive is your truck? Does that include new rims?...new tires?
I'm in MD which isn't too far from you. I know a place that will do install for $750 and you can find a great deal on a 6" kit on the internet. I've seen $1350 for the Pro Comp and $1800 for the Fabtech stage 1 recently. That would put your price at about $2600 if you went with the Fabtech. Wheels and tires are obviously extra.

I got my lift, tires, and rims from OK4WD in Stewartsville, NJ. I would highly recommend them. They are also having a open house next Saturday the 16th. Here is their website.

I would hang the phone up if I was told that much for the lift. Hell I am getting a fabtech+steering stabilizers and 35" Toyo Mt's for less than that here in Georgia. I am 2wd though so may be different. I would definitely shop around instead of paying that much for just a lift alone. Possibly tell them you would pay all cash if you can? I know the shop I am going to dropped a few hundred with that.
