leveling a 98 f150 4x4

So I bought some new shocks and leaf spring helpers for the rear, I am also about to buy new leaf springs...

http://www.generalspringkc.com/index...1584&parent=78

I am thinking that the three together will cause a bit of a lift in the rear of the truck, plus I have 33" tires on my truck and I only sit as high as other trucks like mine with stock tires.

What can I do to get more height in the front. its a 98 f150 4x4 5.4l.

Also this is a bit of a stupid question but does my truck have coil springs in the front? Cause I cant find them any where, and all the parts stores say I do. all I see is one shock on each side of the truck.

could I get some HD shocks for the front to help the front out?

to lift the front you have to crank the torsion bars up...no coil springs

You are 4 wd, so you have torsion bars, no coil springs. Torsion bar adjustments, or "cranking" them will result in adding up to a couple inches of height in the front, while sacrificing some downward suspension travel, if I remember correctly. Search for "cranking the torsion bars", and you will see all kinds of info. Shocks will not adjust ride height. Member Wandell will steer you in the right direction. Listen to him.

Thanks guys, I crawled under my truck tonight and I see now how to adjust them, seems pretty simple so I'll give it a go tomorrow. I'll be sure to measure the height to make sure its level though, I feel like that will be important. plus to see how much height I gained.

Don't forget to get an alignment when you get them set at the preload/height you want.

So I forgot to measure before I cranked them, I was in a hurry but I have them equal on each side and have 7 3/8" between the top of my tire and the fender. I know its a bit more then before because now I can fit my head in there. I should get it aligned Monday.

It has more space up front then the rear does now so I'm gonna hope that the thicker beefy'er leaf springs plus leaf spring helper even it up.
