Help... ..2wd but want to look like 4wd

Alright, I've got a 2wd 2001 F150 and I want to level out my truck and add some height for very little money. I've got tires and other accessories but wanted your advise.

Coil Spacers?
Wheel Spacer?
Etc.....?

Help Me Out

It's an '01. What is it worth? $5K into a lift kit, wheels, tires, installation, and alignment. Then what? More $$$ for regearing. You'll spend more than that truck is worth.

An even cheaper option would be a set of Daystar coilspring spacers and a 3 inch body lift.

It's worth its weight in value to him - so I dont think that matters.
But if your paying 5000$ for a spacer and body lift, tires and alignment... your getting ripped. Body lift and spacers are D-I-Y, tires and wheels on average, what 1500$? Alignment is usually free.

Where do you get free alignments?

Where I live(Cottonwood, AZ) alignment comes free with almost any shop work at all. Maybe thats jus my arwa, but I thought it was standard practice...
Hell, even Big-O does it here lol and they are the biggest rip-offs in town.

a spindle lift and a 2' block will make it look like a leveled 4x4. as mentioned a coil spacer is another option but itll just level it out. A body lift will give you the right height but will leave the factory rake.

I think this is the way i'm going. Thanks for all that replied. I'm adding wheels spacers just to add some width to the truck. Pictures will be up when it's done!

Go the BL route if you want to stick to cheap. I did a while back but removed it as I had a lot of play due to the steering extension u-joint. I got mine from Performance Accessories and everything else was good quality.

ETA: you'll have to make a bracket to raise your light bar so it isn't too obvious you have a BL.

You really have to tighten the crap out of the steering extension. I bet that will elliminate the play in your steering.
