Anyone done AAL + 3" blocks?

Hello all,

After putting a 2.5 level on the front of my supercrew, the *** was sagging pretty good. I just put on an autospring AAL, but it still sits a little low in the back, not bad, but I can notice it. I ordered a 3" block to replace the stock one, but is this gonna be overkill? My stock tires are already looking pretty small under the truck, and next step is some 305/55/20. Thanks in advance!

yea i had that setup for about 6 months. I have a 99 so my torsion bars were maxed out as well. I planned on running 305s but now I drive 75 miles a day so kept the stock size and took the block out. So now im just on the leafs.

If I were to do it again I just would have bought a 4" block and been done. But you should be fine.

i mean if you want that look... go for it...
basically this... bear with me...

Stock: front 0 lift, Rear 2" stock blocks= rear sits 2" higher in rear ( stock)
Leveling kit: front 2.5", Rear 2" stock blocks= rear sags 1/2-1"
Leveling kit with AAL: front 2.5", Rear 1.5" AAL= rear sits slightly higher 1/2 -1"
Leveling kit with AAL & Block: front 2.5", Rear 1.5" AAL & 3"block= rear sits 2-3" higher.

hope this helps.... ive never seen it done btw... i think its gonna really make the truck nose dive.. worse than stock..

I have the 2.5 and 3" block and it sits about dead level to a tape measure, but to the eye it looks lower so Im going to the 4" block, btw all trucks are going to be different, you can calculate and try to figure all day, but you want know until you do it.

I can confirm that. I put a 2" AS on my 08 FX4 Scab and my front end nose sits 1/2" higher according to the tape. Supposedly the 2" was suppose to be the other way around. It might settle but I have some 3" blocks ordered just in case.

Yeah, it never seems to be an exact science. I have the 3" block on order, but am thinking that I might keep it the way it is for now. Thanks for the help!
