Rear lift block question

I spoke with someone at performancelifts.com about adding either the 2" or 1.5" Fabtech rear lift blocks and was told the following:

"Please note, if your truck has a 2-piece driveshaft you may also need to
install a carrier bearing drop kit to eliminate a rear driveline vibration
caused by the lift blocks (increased driveline angle)."

Do I have a one piece or two piece driveshaft? 2008 F150 XL 2wd 4.2 V6. I want to raise the back a couple inches but don't want to have to deal with driveline vibration or having to add a carrier bearing.

Thanks in advance.

you ahve a one piece drive shaft. You really only see 2 piece drive shaft when you have those really big liffted trucks that has really bad drive shaft angles or there tranny is farthar away in distance from rear axle. Yours or i should say ours goes from tranny to rear axle.

Great! Thanks very much for your reply.

I will also probably have to with the Ready Lift 1.5" blocks. The smallest Fabtech block you can get with the special two pin design for the F150 is 2". I know it's not a huge difference, but since I'm leaving the front stock hight, I don't want the back to look insanely high. I just want a bit more of a rake than factory.

U bolt Torque

I found this info in the 2008 F150 Workshop Manual Section 204-02-5 Rear Suspension.
Tighten the U-bolts in 4 stages.
o Stage 1: tighten in a cross patern to 26 ft.lbs.
o Stage 2: tighten in a cross patern to 52 ft.lbs.
o Stage 3: tighten in a cross patern to 74 ft.lbs.
o Stage 4: tighten in a cross patern to 98 ft.lbs.

Ther you have it!
