Roush Kit 4X4
has anybody installed this kit, specifically on a 4x4?
I'm talking about the kit that drops the suspension 2/3"
any alignment issues or unforseen headaches?
I use the truck as a daily driver, the 4x4 is strictly for bad weather and steep grades with no offroading. I have another toy for that. So please- do not recommend that I lift instead. Thanks in advance.

just put mine on last week. amazing in how much better the truck drives and handles. much more sure footed. no alignment issues as you dont touch the tirerods. but it may be worth getting one done after anyways. the toital job took me about 5 hrs to do. check my post it has pics also

Thats great to hear. Congratulations for you and thank you for commenting. I have another question as well. Anyone feel free to field it:
I have been looking up prices and the roush site sells the kit for appx $1450. I have seen it online for less but lets use their price for this breakdown.
They sell each piece individually and all the pieces only total $1063... where does the extra $390 come in.
(from roush site)
Stabilizer $205
F coils $257
R Leafs $320
R shocks $126
F shocks $155
I then compared this pricing to a similar kit from eibach with all the components included and came up with about $980... which is very close to the roush.
So now... have i missed something? Or does roush charge almost Four Hundo for a full set of directions??

the hardware may not be included w/ the individual components. not all bolts the kit uses will be standard sizes either, some will be difficult to find locally, particularly because ford tends to use odd metric sizes.
also, the complete kit may be including shipping, which will be a lot because of the weight/volume.
i would call and ask to figure out what exactly is going on, though.

it was around $600..... it has 2" Front Coil Springs, 3" Rear Shackles, Bump Stop Kit, U-Bolts, Rear Shocks
not as extensive as the roush but simple

I talked to roush.
Front coils are a set.
F/R shocks are sold individually even though they picture 2 and sell coils as a set.
R leafs are also individual
The kit is cheaper than individual pricing

Does the Roush kit affect the load the truck can handle? I have a heavy 1/2 ton and do not want to lose hauling ability.
