help with leveling kit
Hey guys im new here , just tryin to get some info about a leveling kit . My truck came with some sort of leveling kit when i bought it , very minor like maybe a ford option. It only measures about 1.5 inches and i can just barely see the top of coil brkt. do the 2.5 or 3 inch leveling block measure a true 2.5 inches or less? what im tryin to figure out is what size kit i need to run just below a 35inch tire like 305 50r 20 . What is a common combo for the back ? block add a leaf? And any rubbing problems do u need a certain off-set rim for the front?

Welcome to the site!
The coil spring spacers do not measure 1:1 ratio.... I have a 3" level kit, yet it only measured about 1 1/2"... but I gained 3" of height once it was installed. With that said, Im assuming you were measuring the space on your truck from the top of coil spring tower to the bottom of the coil spring housing? You more than likely have a 2 or 2.5" level kit - those are the more popular ones... You can fit 35x1250 tires on your stock rims with minimal rubbing - some very minor trimming of the front valence should take care of that though.
Now you say you want to run an R20? Do you have the OEM 20s? If so, they have 6" of back spacing and so a 35x1250 tire with big side lugs will rub on your control arm. You would probably want to stick with a 305/55/r20 (which is 33x1250ish) or 285/65/r20 (which is 35x1150) unless you wanted to attempt running a wheel spacer - which is what Im looking into - to be able to fit a true 35x1250 tire.
Hope that helps ya!
