Driveshaft spacer needed w/ 8" lift?

I haven't had any issues YET running the lift I have, but should I get a driveshaft spacer? It's out about an inch more then stock.

You have to measure to insure the spacer is needed. You can ruin a transmission by forceing the driveshaft in to far under rear compression.

if its fine for a 6" lift, I can't imagine anything going wrong with the 8".
But, its never bad advice to double check everything.

I looked at it again and it a 1/2" out farther. I took a quik glance the other day and though it was much more. I'm saying 1/2" b/c that's how much of a bare metal section it showing which I'm asuming is what was farther when when stock and is where it rubbed against the seal

what size spacer? I have a 7 1/2" fabtech lift and I need a spacer.. was thinking 1" would do. I have a lot of play in the rear output shaft in nuetral, up and down and side to side.. seems excessive.. I searched the net for a spacer, made by anyone, for a 01 f150 2 wheel drive and cant find one anywhere.. please help.. thanks Pete

Mine came with my fabtech kit so i put it on. I now have 8 inches but i noticed some slight leaking at the front part of the shaft?..does anyone have any input? Is the drive shaft getting pulled out too far? I was planning on making a thicker spacer by my machinist rather than extending it. The spacer would be hub centric and would not be stacked obviously, just a thicker spacer...

this is what looking at now

this is with the supplied spacer on the 6" fabtech lift. As you can see there is some leaking from the input part of the drive shaft which is then dripping down to the bottom of the trans case. What is causing this? Is it because its being pulled out too much? And I am assuming its trans fluid leaking out? Don't know much about this area of the truck if someone could help me out please let me know, thanks!

I'd be more worried about the front driveshaft. Have you taken a look at that one?
