6 inch lift and 37's?! anyone??

ive got a 2005 FX4 supercab, just bought the rough country 6 inch lift and have not installed it yet... the intructions say 35x12.5x17 is the recommended size but ive heard of some people running 37's on the 6 inch fabtech lift and wanted to do the same...

somebody help me out! any input on what i should do?

Put bilsteins on it to bump it to 8" and then put 37's.

almost all rim and tire combos require some rubbing. most guys have to trim the corner of the valance, no biggy

from what eff1fitty said, he made it sound like he couldn't turn all the way and he rubbed way to much. i would bump it up to 8" of lift so you would not even need to worry about major rubbing. its really not that much trouble to get 8" of lift. just about $200 bucks for the AAL and 2" front spacer.

you do know you need to regear with 37's to.

if you already want to go bigger, then do it now and no regrets later.

get a 6" fabtech and a 2" spacer and 2" AAL for the rear. probly around 2k for the lift
or a rize 8" $2700ish from what i have heard

regear to 4.88's, you can get away without regearing for a while but i would have it on the top of my list cuz 37's will kill your power and put unneeded stress on your tranny.

i wouldn't mind having 8" of lift and 37's but im not putting money into my truck anymore, when my front struts need replacing im going up 1" in height to 7" but thats it.

yea i like the fabtech lift but i already bought the rough country... couldnt pass up the deal 1000 bucks new in the box and free shipping.

an AAL inthe rear and 2 inch spacer should work with the rough country too right?

the spacer would work in the front, but i would get the bilsteins, never been a fan of stacking spacers.
