Exclamation SAS on an 05 f150 ques?

I got an 05 and have had i since brand new and now that its paid for i got a lil extra money.. It has a 6in RCD on it now and it is only about 2 years with a set of 35s and i am wanting to go bigger when I buy new tires, say about a 39s or 40s with a set of 20s. I am wanting of doing a solid axle swap. I have a set of Dana 60s out in the shed the front axle is stock with warn hubs and the rear axle has a Detroit locker in it and both are sporting a 4.56 Yukon gear. i rebuilt both of them myself.. Here's the question- What setup should I use? Get a set of upper coil buckets off an 06 f250 and fab up some lower links and rear mounts seeings how the axles are setup for coil springs, 79 f350 axles. or should I use the tried and true method of leaf springs? Lemme know what you think.

depends on what you want to spend.

really id either use leaf springs, or 4 link

im not a big fan of rad arm. But thats just personal opinon.

The axles are easy enough to clean up for leaf mount and all so that shouldnt be too much problem. Then you can make hangers for a 2.5" wide leaf spring or 3" wide leaf spring. Chevy 12" superlift springs are nice

Then on the rear try to use the stock hangers without adjustments (saves time and materials)

Check out chuckstrucks for used parts.

I was just wanting to do leaf springs due simplicity and there are theoretically a stronger setup and easier as well as cheaper to to replace. Im wanting to run a 40" michelin with a 20x12 DC1 in black..It looks killer my bro has them on his truck and they look bad ***.. I just wish every day I would have gotten me a f250 instead of my 150 but I do think the 150s look better

the only difficult thing i can imagine is your steering set up, but that should not be to hard to figure out.

I am thinking of doing a full hydraulic steering or running a superduty steeringbox and fabing up a mount like the toyota guys do on the tacomas. I dont want to get rid of the truck because it is paid for and I like the looks of my truck as opposed to the superduty's.

Dont get rid of the truck. It isnt worth starting payments all over agian.

I also would run full hydro if you are gonna be riding on the road often. Instead i would run a hydro assist.

Its not in FL you need to have a permit to run it on the street. But its not the best for street use.
