Smile Is it worth is to put a 6'' suspension lift on??

My truck is in really good shape for being a 98 with 135,000 miles. I really want to lift it. I got a body lift now with 33s. Most people say its not worth the money. Will I have a to change my gears so i can turn the bigger tires?? Will 37's clear with 6'' suspension and 3'' body??

Just do it! And yes you can clear 37s with a 6 +3 lift... Im not sure what engine and gears you have, but my 08 5.4L with 3.73s turns 37s no problem (just have to keep it out of o/d)

sometimes...

here food for thought.

it is sometimes a better deal for the person, Whom wants to lift a truck, to sell there stock truck and try to find one lifted.

Why, because its cheaper! When you lift (mod) a truck, you do not get out of what you put in! You ALWAYS loose!!

no dont do that. you never know who put the stuff on the previous truck, if its put together correctly or what corners they cut. i wouldnt want to buy a modded truck from anyone.

x3 not a great idea. Unless you know the guy selling the truck personally.

to the OP. Do the lift. If you dont like the performance then go to lower gears. 4.56's or 4.88's both will work with 37's

To the OP: Do it and don't look back!! You won't regret it. But I would consider gears a must at the time of going to the 37" tires. Personally recommend the 4.88 option to go better with you setup.
I mean, just look at F150_rider's truck - that thing is awesome!!! I'm in the middle of my project right now - just did the 6" Fabtech this last weekend. Have the 3" body lift sitting in the garage to be installed in a few weeks. Let us know what you decide!

Do whatever you want man, it's your truck. 37s will fit. I'd personally regear, but that's just me.
