99 F-150 4x4 leans to drivers side

I noticed that my truck is leaning to the drivers side and it has gotten worse over the past few months. I am guessing I need some new shocks? Looking from the back of the truck you can see the truck leaning to the left side when it is stopped. It is a 99 F-150 that has a stock 4x4 suspension on it.

What all do I need to replace and what are some good brands to go with? I do pull a boat with the truck but I do mostly highway driving with it. I don't want to change the ride much from the way it is stock.

It is not your shocks. Check your springs and torsion bar.

Sorry I meant to say springs in my original post. haha The truck has 164k on it so I am sure it needs new springs. What are some good brands to look into?

YOU DONT HAVE SPRINGS. You have torsion bars that are adjustable just past the trans crossmember.

I think he's talking about the rear of his suspension since he states he noticed the lean while looking at the truck from the rear. With that said, he does have springs, in the rear.

To the OP, like others have said, it's probably time for some new "leaf springs" in the rear of your truck.

Correct I notice the lean to the left when I look at the truck from the rear. I guess it is from just one person driving it all the time?

What are some good brands to look at for replacements and how hard is it to do?

just take it to a garage and get the springs re bent, its pretty cheap. another thing to check is the "mount" on the leaf it might be broken or rusted off.

Springs

Hey 504, I have the same problem in my '03 FX4 with only 64K. Springs from Skyjacker would be nice but at over $700. Check these springs out, I'm thinking of getting a set for my truck. http://www.generalspringkc.com/index...parent=78&pg=1
