suspension lift 4x4 vs 2wd

Does a 4x4 truck of the same model sit about 2-3 inches higher then a 2 wheel drive? If so, if i put a 6" suspension lift on a 93 F150 XL 2wd long box, it would really be like the equivalent of a 3-4" lift on a 4x4?

So then would a 6" suspension lift look nice on my 93 F150 XL 2wd regular cab with the long box with some 33" tires?

yes it would look good. But if you can get a 8" then id try that. and run 35's

The reason why i say this is because it will make the long be look slightly shorter... and the tires wont seem SO far appart and small

I dont really want to make it to big, just give it a decent stance so it looks some what decent. With it bing 2wd and long box it just sits to low i think.

Can I get some more input on this. I just wanna make sure that the 6" suspension lift will look nice on my 93 F150 XL 2wd with some 33" tires? The tires wont look to small on it, will they?

id do your 6 inch lift, then put a body lift on it and run the 35s. i think on that body style if you only go with 33s your going to end up wanting to go bigger anyways. might as well do it right the first time

this is close to what you would have with a 6" lift on 33s

heres a pic i found of a 93 reg cab long box on 35s. its a 4wd with 7 inches of lift, roughly where you would be with 6inch suspension and body lift
