Cluncking noise in front after shock install.

I had a shop install a set of shocks and i have a clunking/rattle over bumps, I asked them if it was the shocks and they said it was b/c the shocks were stiffer and it was the upper control arms maxing out, so I had them change it back to stock, guess what it still does it, its over big bumps and small bumps like entering a driveway.

It is not the swaybar b/c I checked everything is stock except for a AS spacer

My 02 did that too after new shocks.

I found that one of the shock bolts to the lower control arm was loose.

I actually had to replace the 'shoulder bolt' in order to get it tight enough to stop knocking.

Hope this helps.

I'm getting a clunking noise in the read. Its probably the shocks that I replaced. Not tight enough. I did have another sway arm link replaced recently.

How tight are the shock bolts supposed to be, especially the top bolt? Enough to slightly squeeze toe rubber bushing?
