'01 lifted 4WD Supercrew- wheel hopping? HELP!

I have a 6 month old 4" procomp lift with 35" MT's and recently, I can be driving nomally and hit a few very small bumps in the road at around 40-55mph and the driver's side front wheel get's to bouncing and seems to get in an "off-balance rythem" that shakes out of control! Shakes so hard it rattles the dash, door panals, my teeth, etc.
I ease on the brakes and drop speed a little until it goes away and then I can drive any speed with no problem. I've had the tires balanced, front end alignment and replaced the stearing stablizer linkage and bushings. It seams to happen when driving on windey roads and sometimes when I touch the brakes while going over the bumps. Any suggestions?

you can fab up some traction bars pretty easy. If you arent capable of doing this then contact FARMBOY FABRICATIONS and see what he can do. He is located in FL so you will be paying shipping but he can fabricate some kick*** stuff. Just google seach him.

that will help the rear

check the shocks and balance for the front

Thanks, I'm thinking shocks, but they are new! I guess that one could be defective or worn out. I had the torsion bars cranked all the way which I discovered was higher than the other side. I made the adjustment, but it ran like that for 6 months before I realized it was offset. I did get the cheaper of the 2 options on shocks that were provided with the lift.

if your t-bars are cranked did you get shocks that are long enough? They arent fully extended are they?

how are your tie-rods and other steering parts? Sometimes these parts will be fine even worn out but as soon as you hit a bump they cant control the violent jerk and take awhile to settle back (sometimes requires slowing down or stopping) This happened on mine

to be honest, I don't know how to check the tie-rods, other than the appearance of them. As far as the shocks, I installed them with the pro-comp lift and I'm assuming they are long enough because they are the same size that you get with a 6" lift. (I'm told...)

The pictures I posted are before I wrenched on the bars, but it only raised it about 1 1/2" when all was said and done.

Also, my ball joints have always looked odd due to the lean from the lift. When I say "odd" I mean they re at their furthest angle they can go...

to check tie rods lift one front tire of the ground and grab it at 9 and 3 and shake it. se if theres movement in the tie-rod joints that doesnt get transferred to the steering.

It actually does have a little slack with that motion, I tried that the other day. I need to replace the tie-rods? Do you know about how much the parts will cost?

I'm also open for other suggestions if anyone has had this happen before.

Great looking truck...hope you find the cure to this issue. By the way what size wheels/tires are you running? Other than the shaking, are you happy with the ProComp 4inch?

Thanks, in the pictures I have 305/70/r17 Maxxis buckshot mudders with 17x9 micky thomson rims. Maxxis tires are hard to come by and that size is odd, so I switch to BFG 315/70/r17. I like the ride of the maxxis better!. As far as the lift, I wish I had gone a little bigger. My truck doesn't seem much higher than stock and sits level with the superduty 4x4's. I don't have anything bad to say about the lift itself, but I recommend getting the upgraded shocks for a smoother ride.

Thanks,
Nick

BTW- I did have to trim the plastic air dam in the front so it won't rub when turning.
