04 4x4 level kit question?

I was hoping to get some advice from the pros out there. the truck is stock, the space between the tire and the wheel well in the front is 6'' and in the back tire is 9'', i'd like to install a 2.5'' level kit to the front, i'm hoping that the 2.5 levels it out w/ maybe some little strake. #1-is there any specific better brand out there or all the same? i know i will need alignment, but i hope i don't need to buy aftermarket shocks and hope my ride is not effected at all? i appreciate any input, thanks...dano.

I did read
2" for 4x2
2.5" for 4x4
AS leveling kit seems to be very popular here... around $68 US

I agree. Go with the Autospring kit.
You don't need new shocks.

Autospring is the most popular. I've heard nothing but good about Hell Bent Steel ones as well.

Jack up the front and measure how big a spacer you need. My 2004 fx4 only needed 2" to level it out.
