Project 1ton150 Here We Go

As you can read im putting 1 ton axles under my 99 F150. The truck is going under the knife on Saturday. We will start ripping everything out. Then im waiting on my D60's and tires, which will be in next week.

the truck will be street legal.

Here are the facts:
1. Dana 60's Front and Rear
2. 5.13 Running Gears
3. Leaf Sprung
4. 40x17x16.5 Denman Ground Hawgs

Here are the Unknowns:
1. Amount of lift 12-18"
2. Steering Setup (probably crossover)
3. Design of Spring Hangers
4. Desicsion about front crossmember
5. shocks
6. Painting a textured FLAT BLACK.

So im waiting on my tax returns which will be in the bank soon then i pick up the parts. In the mean time ill be ripping everything out.

But for now im gonna give everyone a time to say good bye to the old look.

Heres some pictures:

sounds like a beast. i love seeing people build on off monsters, rather than some massive crappy lift, like whiplash.

I've always drooled over that farmboy truck over at PBB. If your only going to run 44's why bother lifting it that high? what about a little less lift for a better center of gravity? or is it going to be just a mud truck so you want it as high as possible?

this sounds like it will be awesome when you are finished. my brother lives in tampa and he used to have an 88 f150 that he turned into a mud truck like this and it was lots of fun. can't wait to see the finished product.
