Papa Smurf's truck is amazing. Ive seen it in person.

Anyways im still waiting on tax returns. I dont know whats the hold up.

Only thing that is going on is the truck is on jack stands and the stock stuff is unbolted. Hopefully tomorrow or monday the money will be in my account and we will start torching old brackets off.

Crazy enough all of my tax reeturns came back super fast and before they said they would this year!

Hopefully your's get back soon so you can get this project on the fast track! Assuming you had the money in hand right now......How long would it be until you had the truck back on the road?

If i had the money today the truck would be done tuesday or wensday. 1 day of collecting parts 2 days for install and 1 extra day just incase.

But hopefully the money will be pending in my account tomorrow and be in by monday and the truck will be done by friday.

I really need it done by friday or early saturday cause i was gonna take it to Monster Jam.

Updates:

No tax returns yet. Axles are sitting under the truck waiting on parts. I need DOM tubing and some bushings. as well as 13" coil springs and 13" leaf springs. I still have to pay for the axles as well.

I sold me rear axle, and wheel spacers. hopefully the money will be in SOON but thats what i thought a week ago. Not sure whats the hold up but they weill DEFINITELY be here this week... i hope.

My biggest fear is the guy selling the tires out from under me.

so... bushings instead of link ends ???

Also, when your doing the cage, remove your seats. When you make the cage, run tubing where your old seat tracks were. Basically, you need to tie your seats into the cage.

Other then that, looks like it'll be a fun build.

yeah i decided bushings instead of HEIM's since the truck will be on the road. it should lessen the amount of vibration. Well i think.

When the truck leaves its DD im gonna swap the bushing ends out for HEIMS since they are stronger.

and yeah im gonna need help with the cage. if anyone has pictures of a CAB cage id like to see.

trim look into Johnny Joint, Jimmy Joints, and other rebuildable link ends. Better then heims IMO. A bit costly, but work great.

I'll see if I can find some cages for you. I have tons of cage designs, but all for open top type rigs (samurai).

ok will do, ill look into them for when i switch the bushings out.

And any cage designs you see just send them my way. Ive even thought of a total exo-cage. Ive always like the look of them, and they do their job.

^^ fixed it for ya

Trimble not you. Tell me it isn't so. Of all people..... Yet another build thread leaving the subscibers hanging. No pics or anything, just empty promises.
I'm just joshin you. I know it is coming soon, and I know you're not going to make one of those build threads that is nothing but the OP saying what they are going to do, instead of doing it. Plus, you can't back out anymore, you already sold your rear. Throw up a pic of the truck sitting on stands just to keep you honest. And to make the first 6 pages worth it. I can't wait to see the finished product.

well ill have to call joe to get a pic. ill be going down there soon i need a new camera. I geuss they dont hold up to well being thrown out a window at 60mph

But as soon as i get one ill post it up. Ill see what i can do. the shop is 30-45 minutes away so i only go there if i need to. The rear end sold for 150 not sure if its pulled yet but ive already got the money for it. The wheel spacers are gonna sell for 80 so not too bad.

Its gonna be pretty cool, theres a 97-03 F150 in the shop now thats getting a 3" body Lift, 6" fabtech and 38's on 20's and hopefully mine will be done when its done so we can get side by side picks showing the difference.
