I have been following your thread but havent posted. Can't wait to see your finished truck. It sounds like its going to be badass!!
Yeah its street legal. The Rockwells were converted to disc brakes, the pinion brake was deleted. The truck weighs over 5500 pounds therefor there are no bumper heigth laws on it, the head lights just cant be over 54" off the ground. (which is taken care of by the little running lights hanging down.) Those things work nicely

Hope it just sits on that lot.
keep the negative comments to yourself.

not sure what "mickey mouse contraption" means. This truck was made with no short cuts taken. Its still not completed. Still needs hydro assist, alittle more welds cleaned up and PAINT the suspension, and axles.

The truck is probably the nicest in the area. Alot nicer than your stock F150.

The truck is driven, almost everyday. And the problem with that? Its perfectly safe, unless you drive it like its a stock truck.

Just cause its BIG you down it?

so what exactly do you know about building a 4 linked truck that says that this is not safe to be driven?

so stay out of the thread or keep the comments to yourself.

theres people here that want to be so much like me, and enter their opinion on things when they have no way of backing it up.

Any time ive gave someone a negative opinion i can back it up enough to have someone saying "hey this guy knows what he's talking about" I have facts some people just have mouths. well fingers.

ive taken the issue to Rockpick, id like my build thread to be about the BUILD!!! Nothing about your personal feelings towards me or the pictures i post for the hungry fans to look at. If its a must i will go back and edit all post ive made that wasnt totally on topic with the thread. But i really dont think thats neccessary.

If you want to leave negative feedback then by all means go on ahead but leave some reason behind the opinion, dont just type... think about what you are typing. the last thing you want is for me to make you look stupid. i can promise back up from many of the other members here that do respect and know me

tlt008: i know we didnt see eye to eye to begin with but hey man, i think you have alittle respect for me. I know what im doing, im not talking out my a**. Im doing this thread to help others. Since i started this thread theres been 3 other threads asking about it, if they search they would have found it and probably wouldnt have needed their thread. I try to help as much as possible.

Who cares about what happened before bro. I do respect you and most other people on here who don't speak out of their asses. I haven't commented too much and you know how I feel about SAS trucks but I respect your passion for them and am eager to see your truck when it's done. I've read every post in this thread. SAS isn't for me really but I respect that it's for you!!!

Keep it coming!!

Per the request of multiple folks, I've edited out or have removed several posts.

I'll sum it all up with these couple of statements -- 1. If you don't have anything nice to say, keep your pie hole shut. 2. Circumvention of the word censor is getting old.

Delay after dealy man..... All parts are ordered and payed for but Therer have been so many snags it's re-****-erous! Got my leafs and my wheels in and all the visual stuff but am waiting on my coilovers/shocks/lift/UCA's. They'll be here a week from next Monday. My tires are on backorder but will be here in 2 weeks hopefully. My truck will be in the shop the week of the 16th-20th getting all that installed plus the 4.88's and new driveshafts. I think I'm going w/ Carhan ones just for ****s and giggles. I'll be in Ireland that week so I get to drop off my truck before I go on vaca and then come back to a whole new beast! I'll post a thread when it get's closer. I need to take some pics of the badass leafs though. Soon brother......NOT SOON ENOUGH!.......but soon

sounds sooo much like my project. everything is bought and paid for not just waiting on the install to start. The shop got really busy between the time of me dropping the truck off and dropping the axles and tires off.

yeah its 2 weeks for just the install. if i add getting all the parts its over a month or two. but its actually moving rather fast.

but you know how 4 links are. set it up one way and it ot work then tear it apart and back to the drawling board. maybe this so called 4 link calculator will help but i have my doubts.

It's not that I don't like SAS's but more that I'm not a huge fan of how they look. I completely appreciate their function and dieselness! To each their own......
