Finally cranked torsion bars!!! (Pic)
finally i decided to crank them a little bit. many of you know i have always been deciding whether or not to do this, but this time i actually went through with it. my truck was not too bad before, so i did about an inch with the t-bars. it looks good i think even though it is just a small difference. here is an after pic of it but its winter so i have stock rims and tires (265s). cant wait til spring to put the 305s back on! sorry no before pics.
i actually like the stiffer ride alot better than it was before, so overall i am happy

yeah. at first i was kind of worried that my ride would suffer badly, but really i barely notice a difference. it rides just a little stiffer, but i actually like it

Good to hear that, especially someone familiar with NJ roads. I wouldn't mind a slightly stiffer ride either.

^ i hear that, with my Bilstein HDs and LT rated tires my truck rides like a frickin F-350! i was thinking about cranking my bars but with the roads the way they are in the north i'm already bumping my head off the roof at times!

Looks great! I need to add a 1" lift to the rear and don't want an add-a-leaf. I though I read somewhere that you can use a lift block from an F250 or 350 for the extra inch? I see some 3.5" block kits on ebay but I really want to stick with a 3" block total since the factory blocks are already 2".

i turned mine up a while ago, i still have plenty left to crank but the truck is already sitting even. I guess i will put new shocks on it and see if that lifts the rear back up at all before i crank them the rest of the way. 4wd150 did you ever end up ordering new shocks?

not yet. still debating what ones i want to get. i am kind of considering the 4" rancho kit with shocks so dont want to rush into new shocks if im going to buy the lift in the future. moneys tight so i prob wont end up getting it though. haha you know how that goes.
i only have a few more turns left on my one side and i didnt want to do them too far so i saw truck was level and left them alone, i mean it is maybe .5" lower in the front so no big deal. you got a pic of yours?

not a recent one, but the front is actually .5" higher now, then again there is about an inch difference between both sides of the back of the truck from left to right, even with less that 1/2 a tank, my leaves and shocks are probably both worn pretty good
