Lift kit height question

Hello everyone, this is my first post/thread ever so bear with me please if I am not doing something right. I have a 2005 F-150 4x4 that I just bought a pro comp 6inch lift for and will be having it installed very shortly ( one more paycheck for the tires ) and will be running 18's on 35's. My question is, what will the new total height of the truck be and for all of you out there with a similar set up does your truck still fit in your garage at home? Thanks for everything this is a great site and so happy to have found it.

first of all welcome to the site. Congrats on deciding to lift your lift and you wont regret it one bit.

My garage allowed for me to have a 6inch lift with a 2inch spacer for a total of 8inches of lift. still got to fit it in the garage so just depends on your garage. just do a couple quick measurements.

I have the exact set-up you're gonna be doing, pro comp 6" running 18's on 35's. My truck still fits in my garage but barely. After I lift it two more inches and put on 37's it won't fit

07fx4silver ,
Your truck looks sick and is exactly what I am looking to go for. If ya dont mind I gotta couple questions for ya...Did you go with the skid plate right away or add it later? How do you like your tires and how many miles you got/wear? Thanks for my garage question...I hope to have as good looking truck someday as yours!

Thanks man . I put the skid plate on when the lift was put on. As far as the tires, read Report on KM2's, I was the first to have the KM2's on the site and have now had them on my truck for over a year with 8000 plus miles on them and have been great in every condition I've had them in (which is about everything but snow and ice). Wear wise they still have about 18/32" (17.5/32") on them and had 20/32" brand new, so with/maintaining proper inflation, rotation (3,000 to 5,000 miles or every time your oil is changed) and alignment, 40,000 miles should be no problem

I have a 6" Fabtech and 18's on 35's and my truck height is about 83 inches to the top of the roof. Won't fit in the garages here in Hawaii, but it really boils down to how tall your garage is.

Thanks again guys, right now I am deployed overseas but when i come home ( very soon!) I am treating myself to a little deployment gift the lift. I am moving into a new house also when i get back so I have no idea as to what the garage height is I just hope its "average" and my screw will fit. On a side note, I am trying to decide on the pro Comp Xtreme A/T s as they are buy 3 get one free or the Nitto terra Grappler. thoughts???

I do same every time I come home from a deployment . I personally would go with the pro comp Xtreme A/T over the nitto terra grapplers

i got the pro comp extreme at's and an very pleased with them. very aggressive for an all terrain, balanced really well, not loud IMO, and no shimmy on the road.

when i did live at home i could easily fit into my garage. probly could have 8-9" of lift and 37's and still fit. so you should be fine unless you have a low garage. and as for tires my bfg at/ko's are great all around tire. the one thing i do not like about them is they arent 12.5" wide at the tread pattern like many other tires are. i would go with the km2's like 07fx4 said. mud terrain's seem to get almost the same tread life as all terrains for the most part.
