And theres only 1 member here that has a body lift on the NBS, and i think he paid someone to install.
Theres actually a few of us with BL's , i'm pretty sure Jesse101, installed his own, but me on the other hand , i just had a shop install it. im lazy, and dont feel comfortable attempting a job that big
yeah ill have a total of 11 inches of lift after i do that so ill prob throw some 39.5 iroks or something like that. Well see and i plan on renting out a garage with tools and all that good stuff for the weekend and doing it with a couple of my friends
i kno its killin me, the BL is such a tease for me, but theres no way i could afford an actual lift, bigger tires, + gears right meow.
o well, u can actually cover up a BL apperence wise pretty well. i put an 06
2wd valance on to cover the towhooks coming through the holes, nerf bars cover up the frame on the side, and you can always get the hitch moved up.
nice.. post em up. and yeah i cant wait to put this body lift in. also got a set of old 37s at my house im gonna get till i wear those out then jump up to 39.5 iroks or maybe 40s if i can fit em.
alos gonna be selling this truck before i get deployed so i can get a bigger one when i get home

take a look at " theanimal"s gallery he had that setup on 40's i believe
from what i understand from a friend who had a body lift and a suspension lift on an 04-08, the reason why the install is such of a "PITA" is because all the body bushings have to be changed out, along with the body bolts, spacer blocks, bed crush blocks, etc, hence, the increased labor. other than that, the install really isn't that different from a 97-03. the new bushings is the reason why the kit costs much more than a 97-03 kit.
have a whole array of ratchets, sockets, and extensions handy, 1/4'', 3/8'', 1/2'' drive. allen keys may be useful as well, and you'll probably need some torx bits. have a set of combination wrenches for some tight spots. you'll need a drill, probably a set of taps and dies, sawzall, grinder, maybe a blowtorch to get the bed bolts out. expect to fight some bolts every turn out. when i helped 4.2trimble do his bl, we actually had to cut a bed bolt out, we wasted over an hour doing so. have at least two buddies to help you. good luck!
