how low should i go

i want to drop my truck and put 20'' rims on.

First of all what are the details on your truck? If you only want to put 20's on it you can go quite low.

well its all factory settings i have there gay looking 17''s on there its 2wd, stick, i wont be able to get the 20"s for a while the wife says we have other things we have to get first i said yeah like my rims lol the reason why want to drop it is caz i take my gramz to most of her Dr.'s appointments and she is having trouble getting in so i wanted to know how low i could go with out scrapping the bottom i was thinking maybe 3/5 what do u think

Im 3/5 and 3/4 depending on what i have installed. Only drag the lower then stock valence. I can even go up and down curbs slowly and carefully. I also saw small improvements in gas mileage on the highway, maybe 1mpg

Ive been lowered and running on stock 16" wheels for last 3 years....

I will be doing 20s very very soon, and am having trouble deciding between 275-40-20 and 275-45-20.
