Got my lift, steering stabilizer, and tires mounted this weekend. Me and three of my friends did it outside on the driveway for $76 (2 cases of beer, 1 pizza, 6 Jimmy Johns' subs). It took all weekend, but was worth it. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I'm glad I didn't pay someone $1000 to do it. I still have to get the front driveshaft balanced, but I plan on doing that this weekend.
I started at night, so I didn't get any good before pictures. Also, the only pics I've taken so far were with my phone. I will take some better ones this weekend along with some measurements.
My advice to anyone wanting to lift your truck is:
1) Do it yourself (with some friends)
2) Be organized
3) Follow the directions to the letter
4) Don't rush
5) Don't rush
6) Don't rush

Nice work man,
jw how mechanically knowledgable you all were. Like any shop experience etc. I ve done heavy engine mods before but not much with suspension.
Air tools a must? etc. Any details would be awesome via PM or posting here. I wanna get a lift this spring and get it done but I want to do it myself as well. However Im a little apprehensive.. Thanks

That looks amazing too.
Thanks- I've never done my own suspension work. I've always had friends do it in the past. This was my first time ever. I am mechanically knowledgeable (I'm a mechanical engineer). I figured anything that broke, could be fixed. I had a welder there (guy in pic) helping. I let him do all the cutting and heating. Air tools are not a must, but help. We used a breaker bar more than the impact. The only thing I really used the impact on was the half axles. A torch helps ALOT. A good soaking of PB blaster the day before may help, otherwise.
When you look at that front suspension, it's scary. But once you pull it apart and realize how it works...it's very very simple. And just remember, you're working with metal...it can always be fixed.
Can I ask you what are 7105's?Bilstein shocks? If so, can you fill me in on the valving you ordered? How do you like them?I have a 6" Fabtech lift and I need new shocks, not sure what I want yet, tho.

7105's = ProComp wheels. I have the DirtLogic Coilovers up front. I don't know anything about the Bilsteins. I, however, can tell you the DirtLogics are a stiff ride.
