You are alittle cofused. these are 2 different ways of leveling based on 2 different type of suspensions.

97-03 F150 4x4's use a torsion bar based system

04+ F150 4x4 use a coilover based system

97-03 F150 4x4's
The only way to level the front end of these trucks is to crank the torsion bar adjustment keys.

They sell reindexed torsion keys that will allow you to achieve MORE lift out of cranking them. (this howeve is very bad on ball joints and cv shafts)

If you crank your stock torsion bar adjustment keys to level the truck chances are you will never expierence any badd side affects.

04+ F150 4x4
theres 2 ways that i know of to level these trucks

1. adding a spacer to the top of the coil between the strut and spring

OR

2. have adjustable coilovers that will allow to push the frontend up.

Done right both systems are fine. Done wrong both can cause premature balljoint, cv shafts failure.

Right. Two different IFS systems and two different ways to level.

so for me to raise my 08 I would need to use a spacer at the top of the coil spring. Is this something you can do yourself or do you need someone to install.

RIght. A leveling kit for your truck is basically a spacer that bolts onto the top of your coilover shock assembly. You can install it yourself but you will need to have the truck aligned when you are through.

Not sure what you mean by "auto levelers". I'd suggest the Autospring leveling kit or the height adjustable Bilstien shocks.

I would suggest the Bilstein 5100 front leveling struts.
