6 inch lift with a V6?

I have a 2007 reg cab V6. I have yukon 4.56 gears, and im just not satisfied wit the 2.5 level kit and aal. I want to go bigger. 6 inches is my only option witha 2wd. my question is how bad would my truck be with that size and a V6, even tho i re-geared. btw im keeping my 33's until they are bald, cuz they werent cheap. holla back

what do you mean by how bad would it be? if you meant power wise the v6 is gonna spin the wheels just fine

the lift itself is not going to hurt your power any. now, if you stuff a 35'' mud terrain tire on there along w/ the 6'' lift, you'll be hurting some, but the gears should be enough to compensate.

33's on a 6" is gonna look horrible. but it is doable for the mean time.

and since its a 2wd it wont look as bad as a 4wd with 6" and 33's.

My truck is a 4.2 with 36's and its fine i get close to 15.2 mpg which isnt bad. And thats on the stock 3.55 LS.

when i go up in gears ill be much happier though.

your mpg will be better than mine anyway. as you are 2wd you have less weight and less parts spinning which equals a few more mpg better than me.

yes i finally got i finished. it was tough because i worked 4 14 hour shifts on the last 2 weekends.

but shes running i need a new alternator but thats can wait for the time being.

and my motor really wasnt hydro-locked it was still running. But when the number 2 cylinder tryied to compress water it bent the rod! that was right before it cut off! NORMALLY the truck will flood out and cut off before this happens.

Since you have a 4x2, I think 33's will look fine with a 6 inch lift. I'd just go with a wide 33 like a 325/60-18.

I've got a V6 2WD with a 10" lift and I'm running 37's with 4.56 gears. No problems at all. MPG is 13-15.
