the body lift itself won't affect your mileage. the tires will cause the decrease in mileage. what kind of tires are you going with, and what is their weight? the general trend is that you may lose ~1.5mpg

i'd say your gonna lose more than like 2-3 mpg's, and if you got the 4.6 probably more. a friend had a 3" body with 285's and a 4.6 and was getting a tad over 12 some of those f150's came with such little tires, they looked so goofy, brand new p235/70/16's on a fullsize 4x4

the kit will cost 200, plus gap gaurds like 100 or so. The install can range anywhere from 500+ I was quoted at 700 for install and my friend was quoted 900.

Its easy to install id do it yourself and save the money!

I have a 3 inch body lift and 35's. My truck is an 01 with the 5.4 and 3.55 gears. My only engine mods are a Superchips tuner and a K&N filter in the OEM airbox which I drilled out with a 2 inch hole saw. I average 13mpg combined city/highway.
