5.5" lift in the mail (pics coming)

i just won a 5.5" lift kit on ebay. i know some people bag on them but ive heard enough good reviews, especialy by mushroomhead(sp?) that for the price i couldnt say no. the kit includes 3.5" spindles, 2" sping spacers(their the crappy metal kind so 1.5" daystars are on order), 3" block and u bolts and rear shocks. i just won it all today so ill have to wait about a week to get it all and then probably another week to get it all put on so pics might take some time ( no without pics this thread is worthless smiless please.haha)

anybody got input on this kit?

anybody know it 5.5"s of lift will look funny with 32s?

its a 2wd so its more like 2.5" on a 4x4 and most of them run 32/33 so im not too worried. o and i was looking for something more along the lines of pics not just random comments

I had 33's om my 01 4x4 with the torsion bars cranked. I wasn't thinking about 2wd.

I wish I had a pic of my old truck.

i figure itll sit about at a 4x4 cranked torsion bar level so i dont think the 1" difference in tires size will make it look outa place

It won't be a big difference at all. It'll look sweet!

Have another free bump and good luck getting some pics.

Here is a idea of what it will look like. I did the same lift on my old truck except peiced it together. 3.5" spindle 2" spacer and 3" block. Tires are 285/75/16 just shy of 33" like 32.4" I believe.

It was tail high for a bit. But since mine was a V6 I was able to nab some coil springs from a V8 F-150 and that got me another 1" in the front, gave it just enough nose high with out havin too much of a "cali rake" too it. But I dont have any pics with that, sadly.

I miss that truck

i have a v6 too, looks like i might get a 2" block for the rear cause im done with tail high, but dont want it drastic.

i was going to go with daystar 1.5" spacers at $40 but is it worth it to step up to v8 2" coils at closer to $130?

Keep the spacer, I did the coils with the spacers all together, nearly a 7.5" lift.

Go to a local off road shop and see if they have some coils they removed from a truck they worked on. Thats what I did. My neighbor works at off road unlimited and had a ton of them laying around and just gave them too me. They just throw them away so they should be more than happy to get them off their hands. Another member on another site did the same thing and im pretty sure he got them for free also. Save the money. get the springs, add the spacer and spindle and keep the 3" block.

ok so ill see if i can find any stock v8 coils around here. im getting the daystars cause the ones in the kit are the metal kind that ive heard are real crappy.
or i might just use stock springs, the spacer and spindle, sell the 3" block and get a 2"

If you cant find a V8 set of coils go with the spindle and spacer with a 2" block. That will get the look ya want. If you can get some coils, do that with the 3" block, same look....and an inch taller.
