ways to get 6 inch look

ok so I was wondering if there were cheaper ways to get the 6" lift look
I was thinking 2.5" leveling kit and 3" body lift but I don't anything about shocks or leaf springs if those can lift the truck any

Yes, you can get it that way. Just be sure you get some gap guards.

Do a search - anywhere...

They are basically urethane pieces that you put in the "gap" where the body sits off the frame. You drill small holes and they attatch with little plastic screws. It'll really clean up the look after doing a body lift

Well, it won't look crappy. But I'd personally just get a 6" susp. lift myself. I went with a body lift because I only needed 3" and I had no need to go bigger. Any bigger and I would have gone with a susp. for sure.

A body lift combined with a leveling kit will give you about the same height as a 6 inch suspension lift. It will cost less money if you can do the installation yourself. If you have to pay someone to install them, you are gonna wind up with about the same money invested. Everyone says the body lifts are a real pain to install on the 04-08's.

from what i understand, all new bushings have to be put in for a body lift install on an 04-08. i'm guessing that's what makes it a PITA.

Save some money and get the 6" lift. You won't regret it.
