Rough Country 6" lift

Has anyone tried out or heard anything about the new rough country 6" lift for our 2004-present f150's. Its only $1,199 from the rough country website. Is it the you get what you pay for thing. Because that is cheap.

They just released it, i dont think anyone here has installed it yet. Yes its cheap, but so is the procomp and more people have the procomp then anything else. Maybe you should be the guinea pig.

haha ya i might have to. I was watching the video of the f150 on rough country's website and that thing looks pretty big. most pro comp lifts dont look like a true 6 inches but that thing does.

I would not do it, I have dealt with products from Rough Country on a Ford Ranger and it was a nightmare. The steel was thin, poorly welded and few of the holes lined up well. When I owned a Dodge Dakota the guys who had this lift had nothing but problems with it. IMO they have a poor history and your better off spending more on the fabtech

I agree, some buddies have had some problems with them.

agreed 100% i bent a drop down bracket o my 96 Ranger... It was the brackets that relocated the TTB I hit a stump and it broke one bracket totally and bent the other one to a 45 degree!

if you want a lift for the road then you will be fine (if you can get it installed)

I agree that someone needs to buy and install this lift so they can tell me all about it. This and the Rancho 4in I am pretty sure are the only lifts that will work with my backspacing. That video does look awesome on RCs website! Maybe we will get lucky and a magazine will do an article on it in the near future.

I have the Rough Country 5" lift on my 03 SCREW and have had no problems. Rides great and has held up through the Alaska winter. I cant tell you how it is doing in the mud this summer because I am in Iraq, but I will ask my wife to tell me how its doing, but I have nothing bad to say about the lift so far.

I've had it installed on my truck for about two weeks now. Not the best, but i dont offroad at all, except for the beach. Just a big spacer basically. Comes with a aal also.

RGVF150. Your recent post say you bought a pro comp lift not a rough country.

I'm looking at the same kit right now for mine.I like that it comes with steel braided brake lines for the front, retains stock track width and I can run my stock rims in the winter.Everything I'm looking for.Only a 4in in block for the rear and includes a AAL also so it won't drop in the rear and there is no having to stack blocks.Check the ebay auction for rough country.

Pretty tempting.Give me a couple weeks and maybe I will have my wife talked into it because that is the kit I will be going with.

Hell of a deal! Pull the trigger.

Make sure to order a set of Bilstein 5100's so you can run 37's.

I agree, I just got my lift put on not too long ago and I've already got the itch to jump up 2 more inches and get some 37's
