those are worn down 33s that arent true 33s. last time i checked they may have just broken 30 (supposed to be 305/70r16). i dont have a problem with the way it looks now. it would be nice to have some bigger meats under there but with gas prices the way they are and the total price involved (gears, rims, tires), its just not worth it to me at this point.
the brake dust on those things is baked on. a pressure wash right up against them didnt do a thing. im gonna clean them up the best i can and paint them black. later on im gonna get rims.
thanks for the comments.

Hey Chief......
of course I like black wheels too (enough so, that I'm getting brand new, black wheels for my truck just as soon as it comes in :-)
However, I once had a set of Centerline wheels, which had gotten so oxidized and funky.... they were somewhere between grey and brown ! Yuk ! No amount of scrubbing seemed to make any difference.
Then, at the local auto store, I found this little generic looking bottle of some sort of acid based wheel cleaner. I'm sorry.... don't remember what type of acid it was.... something like hydrocloric, or phosphoric... anyway.
I sprayed this stuff on, and it instantly looked like black ink rolling off of my wheels ! Almost scared me at first ! I thought it was destroying my wheels ! Instead, I rinsed it off and my wheels became like new, instantly ! No scrubbing or anything ! Just washed them with soap water, to make sure I got all of the chemical off of them.
Not sure if you could find a product like this still.... and even if you can, it won't work if your wheels are clear coated with anything. Just wanted to run this by you, before you actually painted your wheels......
Peace,
Fish
