Fitment Questions

Ok i have a 04 NBS 2wd f150 that i'm going to be adding a 6" procomp lift to in a couple weeks. I have been looking at either the 305/55/20 nitto grapplers, 33X13.5R20 procomp extreme terrains, or the 35x12.5R20 cooper STT's. I am going to be useing my OEM 20's. Will i have a rubbing problem with any of these tires. I pretty much can rule the procomps out and the coopers are a maybe and the nittos will definatly fit right? Thanks

Trent Kammerer

Also what does the basic procomp come with for the back. 3" blocks? Will that make my truck sit perfectly level?

I believe the basic Pro COmp kit will come with a 3 inch block. Sometimes, the kits will sit a little low in the rear. A 4 inch block may be a better choice.
You can easily fit the 305/55-20's (33x12.50). If you are using the oem wheels you can probably fit a 35x12.50-20 with no more than minor trimming.

Ok. Know i definatly know the 305's will fit but i want to go bigger and possibly get some bilsteins and raise them up to get 8" of lift. My main concern is that i cannot find a A/T with a 35 inch height that will fit. Nitto and Toyo make a 35 A/T but it is a 325/60R20. That wont fit will it?

The only 35 i can find for a 20 inch wheel is the Toyo M/T and Cooper STT. I love both those tires but they weigh 80+ lbs a piece. They also have a 12.5 inch width. I'm not worring about trimming i just dont want to get the Toyo M/T or Cooper STT and have them rub on the knuckle on turns because i will be useing the factory 20's. Does the factorys 20's allow enough backspace for a 12.5 to work with the procomp lift?

Does anyone make an A/T with 35x12-12.5R20 specifications.

I see your point. I don't know if the new Pro Comp knuckles would allow enough room to fit a 325mm wide tire with the oem wheels. Are you gonna keep the oem 20's forever? If you are a couple of manufacturers are now making 285/65-20's (like the BFG AT KO)which are basically a 35x11.50-20 tire.

Yea, I know about the 285 BFG's but to be honest i really dont like the BFG's A/T's the KM2's are nasty tho. I really want a wider tire you know. I just ran across some 305/60R20 Toyo A/T's They are kinda pricy but they are a 34x12 and i think that they would be perfect for what i am looking for. They will fit and they are slighly bigger than a 33. So right now i am stuck between the 305/60R20 Toyo A/T and the 33x12.5R20 Toyo M/T. I would get about the same MPG with both. What do you think? A smaller more aggressive tire or a bigger less aggressive tire.

Both are great tires. If you don't do any off roading, the A/T's would be a better choice.
