What is this? why is it loose? and how can i fix it ?

its causing alot of rattling, ive had for a while, dont know what it is, if its serious or not..

it looks like your missing some sway bar bushings.

 

yea its the sway bar end link and your missing like all the bushings off of it.. its a pretty easy fix once u get a whole new end link

I wouldn't consider it serious, but I'd replace it ASAP. I've driven around on one that broke on my 1997 F-150 and my dad the same on his Expedition. I kept hearing a popping when I was turning and looked and saw the end link broke and the bar popped off. Places like Advance Auto or Autozone usually have them in stock. Dealer would probably have one too.

 

You should just lift yur truck. The suspension kits have new ones in the kits. That would fix the problem. Then yur truck is lifted to.

 

The antisway bars purpose is to help control body roll in turns. Just get some new bushings and bolt 'er back up.
