what is the difference between hieght onfx4 truck with level kit than an xl with level kit? thnx

 

I assume the XL you are asking about is a 4wd. I don't know exactly how much height difference, but FX4's come with better shocks/suspension and do sit up slightly higher from the factory over XL models.......if you adding spacers to the XL, I don't think there will be too much difference between that and the FX4. I raised my 2wd a full 2".........I pulled up to a FX4 at a stop light and our hoods were about the same height, his was slightly higher than mine. He had taller tires, which gave him some height.

If you are deciding which one to buy and you can swing the extra $, I'd get the FX4 model........much more to it than just taller suspension!!!

so still 2" if both have 2" leveling kits

 

Right. And all 4x4's sit at the same ride height as do all 4x2's. The only difference in overall height is the different tire sizes.

the 4x4s have a 2" block in the rear and the coil perch up front is 2" lower, but uses the same coil as 2wd. and in addition they have larger tires

so overall almost 3" difference on 04+ trucks, but 2" of that is suspension
