Question Torsion Bars again! Sry

Ok tommorrow morning Im going to crank my torsions then go get it aligned, I looked under my truck and one is cranked 3/4 of the way and the other is up about a 1/4 (meaning bolts) ,I was told that this is common that they are not equally adjusted but what I need to know is can I turn the one thats 3/4till it bottoms out then adjust the other to even out ? It looks like I make onlly get as little as two turns on the one ,prob could get 6 on the other.Will this make any difference? thanks C

Keep them stock. You want suspension travel, maxing them out decreases your travel, hurts your suspension offroad. If you want lift from your truck, do a proper suspension lift with a correct front differential drop (a.k.a. rancho, RCD, or Fabtech). Otherwise, you risk hurting your suspension, and costly repairs. Do it right if you're going to invest.

I won't disagree that a proper suspension lift is the way to go, but like many others I turned my torsion bars all the way and yes it is a stiffer ride but I'm driving a 4x4 truck w/ mud tire so I expect what I've got. If you crank them get it aligned and keep a check on front end components for wear and tear. Also to answer your question, measure the height on each side before you start, then crank the bolt that's already in more (3/4 way) all the way counting the # of turns and then turn the other bolt the same # of turns, lower the truck and measure again. Keep turning the bolt that's not all the way until you get level. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info ,I do have a 4" Ranco lift already. Just tryin to squeeze another 1.5 inches if I could.Just have to go find some level ground! Thanks again!
