Torsion Bars...

I have an 01 Screw 4x4 and have read the threads on leveling by cranking the torsion bars. I have a couple questions...

1. Do you cause any problems when doing this? is it possible to over torque them? Has any one had them break once you go off road?

2. When cranking them where is a good measurement point on the body, frame, etc to ensure both sides have been adjusted the same?

Thanks

1. stiffer ride, yes you can over crank them

2. count your turns as you crank them you will need to realign the truck too
