Lowered 4x4's. Anybody Have Pictures?

How many guys on this forum have lowered their 4x4's? If you have, can you post a picture and the suspension you used?

I've been told that you can only lower them so much because of the front differential.

Right now I'm thinking of the Ground Force Lowering kit.

Many will ask why didn't you just get a 4x2 if you wanted to lower your truck, and the answer is that I live in NJ and for those 2-3 months that it snows, I want to have 4x4.

Thanks,

I have, but haven't found any info. Its hard to believe nobody has done it.

Is there another forum that specializes in this type of mod?

You do realize that if you plan on driving a lowered truck anywhere that you need your 4x4 you will surely end up destroying the front end of your truck

This includes snow, your front end will basically become a snow plow

Is that what happens to cars and 4x2 trucks when it snows

I don't believe that will happen if its only lowered 2-3 inches.

pull out your rear blocks to level out the rear, and put some smaller tires on it. your 4x4 will actually look lowered.

pull out the rear block, buy some 2wd front coilovers, and and buy a 2" shackel drop for the rear.

I'm looking into it right now. On the wheels, I have 20" wheels right now and will be putting 22" after I lower it.

Thanks. Not sure if the 2wd front coilovers will work on the 4x4. I'll look into it.

the 4x4 the coil is mounted higher up on the strut then on the 2x4. so the perch where the coil sits is different
